FAQs

How much does breast augmentation(or a breast lift,or breast reduction)cost in Columbus, Ohio?

When you are researching the cost of plastic surgery, you are likely to find quite a variation in prices. It is important to know if you are comparing apples to apples—and this can be difficult. Many offices quote prices of surgeon’s fees with separate anesthesia fees and facility fees.

When we give you a written quote for a procedure that will be performed in our facility, the quote will include all fees—surgeon’s fee, anesthesia, and follow-up care.

If we give you a quote over the phone, before you have been seen by Dr. Houser, please understand that this quote will be an estimated range or “ballpark” estimate only. Without a consultation, (which includes an exam and a focused discussion about your individual surgery), it is difficult to quote an exact price.

Cost for breast augmentation, breast lift, and breast reduction surgery will vary a bit depending on the length and difficulty of the planned surgery. Following your consultation with Dr. Houser, we will be able to give you an accurate and detailed quote for your surgery.

If you are interested in financing your breast surgery visit our payment info page. CareCredit and surgeryloans.com offer medical procedure financing which can be re-paid in monthly installments.

Is it safe to have more than one surgery at the same time?

This depends on your overall health and the details of the surgeries that you are considering. If you are interested in having more than on procedure, talk to Dr. Houser about this during your consultation and he will be happy to discuss your options with you.

Many of our patients choose to have more than one procedure during the same surgical visit. Dr. Houser is an ABPS board certified plastic surgeon and he is experienced and skilled in plastic surgery for all areas of the body. Patients frequently combine breast surgery with abdominoplasty (tummy-tuck), lip augmentation, facial procedures, and liposuction. Why is it important to choose an ABPS board certified plastic surgeon? What if I am only having a simple procedure such as a small amount of liposuction?

Any surgery, no matter how small or simple it seems, is complicated and carries risks. The quality of your results will depend largely on the training, experience, and skill of your surgeon. In many states including Ohio, doctors who are not plastic surgeons are legally allowed to provide plastic surgery procedures, but they are not nearly as experienced as ABPS board certified plastic surgeons. Often, doctors who are non-ABPS plastic surgeons, and who offer plastic surgery procedures have very little training (sometimes only a week-end course) in these procedures. For the best results and safest surgery insist on an ABPS board certified plastic surgeon.

I would like to get breast implants but I am really worried that they won’t look and feel like real breasts.

This is a very common concern. In plastic surgery, the patient’s personal preferences are extremely important. Some patients want more dramatic and noticeable results, while others want more subtle or natural looking results. Dr. Houser understands this and will spend a great deal of time with you to make sure that he understands your preferences and the changes that you want to see in your breasts.

Most people agree that silicone (also called “gel”) implants feel more like real breasts than saline implants. Many of our patients tell us that other than feeling increased fullness, they cannot feel a difference in their augmented breasts.

In addition, certain surgical techniques used by Dr. Houser help to create more natural looking breasts. He can discuss this with you at your consultation.
